View and receive alerts time in transit in your area (Piedmont)
TemporALERT, an Arpa Piemonte service developed by CSP - Innovation in ICT, allows you to view medium and strong intensity storms passing through your area on a map.
The application is experimental and currently only the areas of the Piedmont, Liguria and Valle d'Aosta regions are covered, plus some provinces of Lombardy (CO, CR, LC, LO, MI, PV, VA) and Emilia Romagna (PC ).
The service is based on radar-meteorological observations and subsequent nowcasting processing by Arpa Piemonte.
Although the process is carried out according to the state of the art and the best available technologies, intrinsic uncertainty factors in storm phenomena remain.
Functionality:
[•] identification of storm events of medium or strong intensity
[•] animation of the past, present and future situation (from 1 hour in the past to 1 hour in the future)
[•] *receive notifications* about events arriving or transiting in the selected area
[•] management of favorite locations
[•] high precision data from radar (maximum resolution 500 meters)
[•] high data update frequency (5 minutes)
[•] possibility to select the width of the area around your point of interest (5km, 10km, 20km)
[•] identification of the current position
*Note*: Radar data allows you to locate storms with an accuracy of 500m, within the radius set in your areas of interest (5, 10 or 20 km)

[•] Why isn't the forecast 48/36 hours out? Is it possible to have the alarms at least 3-5 hours instead of one hour?
[•] Is it possible to have event alarms related to the actual position instead of the pre-selected one?
[•] Is it possible to increase the range of severe thunderstorm warnings beyond 20 kilometers?
[•] When will there be the version for IOS and Windows?
